Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This policy sets out what you can and cannot do with SAMT. It exists to keep the Service trustworthy for everyone and to protect you, your recipients and the messaging networks you rely on. It forms part of, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Service.

1. Permission to contact

Only send messages to people who have a relationship with you or who have otherwise agreed to be contacted, and only for purposes they would reasonably expect. Do not message people who have asked you to stop.

2. Honour opt-outs

Make it easy to opt out and act on opt-out requests promptly. Where the Service adds opt-out handling (for example an unsubscribe line on SMS), do not remove or circumvent it.

3. Prohibited content

Do not use the Service to send content that is:

  • Unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive or misleading.
  • Harassing, threatening, hateful or that promotes violence.
  • Sexually explicit involving minors, or otherwise exploitative.
  • Malware, phishing, or links intended to deceive or harm.
  • In breach of intellectual-property or privacy rights.

4. Prohibited activity

Do not:

  • Send unsolicited bulk messages to people who have not agreed to hear from you.
  • Impersonate any person, brand or organisation, or falsify sender identity.
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, security controls or provider rules.
  • Use the Service to build or sell lists of people without a lawful basis.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the Service or networks.

5. Respect provider and network rules

You must comply with the terms and messaging policies of every provider and network you send through (for example WhatsApp, SMS aggregators and email providers). Violations can result in your provider accounts being suspended — that is your responsibility to manage.

6. Comply with the law

You are responsible for complying with all laws and regulations that apply to your messaging in the places where you and your recipients are located, including rules on consent, data protection and electronic communications.

7. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe this policy or the law has been broken, or to protect the Service, recipients or third parties.

8. Reporting & contact

To report misuse or ask a question about this policy, contact [your-contact-email].
